Faranak. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. FarÄnak (Persian: Ùَرانَک‎‎) is a female character in the Persian epic Shahnameh. She is the wife of Abtin and the mother of Fereydun. Farânak is derived from the word Parvâneh, which means butterfly in Persian.
